Other than lunch out, went down a rabbit hole on the pool yesterday. Emptied it completely, found the missing paddle which disappeared a couple years ago, the difference between one that was submerged in chlorinated water and the other is pretty extreme. Paddle is fine, but the strap is shot. Wasn’t really about finding it, it was getting it out from behind the machine that generates current without having to hold my breath for an extended period of time and possibly getting my arm trapped or something equally stupid. I tried a couple times and decided it was too dangerous, so waited until draining the pool. Once empty, I scrubbed the heck out of the bottom getting all the little black marks off so it looks like new. Arms are feeling it this morning. Now that the pool is done, we try and relax a bit.

Got the second rowing session in yesterday, need to figure out a regular time for during the week. If I keep it to twenty minutes instead of thirty, I could do mid-day as a lunch which would get it out of the way and break up the day. There have just been so many meetings lately. I manage to eat, so really no excuse, need to make it priority. Also doing shorter sessions to try and avoid injury. Trying to get smarter as I get older, i am. 😝

We all know I’m swimming today, I just need that water to get a little bit warmer first. I’m not into the cold plunge thing unless there’s a sauna ready to go nearby and there is no sun today, so it’s a no-go until it hits at least 80.

Put up the flag and changed the cafe lights to red, white and blue. Remembering the reason for the holiday and all that fought and those that were lost. Hopeful we avoid repeating the past. Thanks to all that served.

Everything up, but worth it. Will start eating all that fruit i bought and then was gifted on top of what I already have. Overload, but a good thing.

Weekend rules continue, enjoy the holiday, and no, not my pic. Our skies are gray today so far. Hoping it breaks open to sunny and blue in a bit.
