Wow you should be so proud, of your efforts. only 3 kilos to go, then the hard work begins (maintaining). You are so lucky that you can exercise, I find it is the hardest thing when like me I cannot train as I once did, somehow crawling to the letterbox does not compete with a 30k fast walk. Thanks for your continuing inspiration that you put into your weight loss, you have done so well, as for me my achievement is stay breathing currently LOL Best regards Linda

hi there. wow! you should be so so proud of your effort and stick ability and the results of course 😉. I am amazed at what you have achieved in a relatively short time (im sure it doest seem short sometimes 😉) can I ask what your strategies have been throughout? like number of calorie, length and frequency of exercise, type of fasting etc...and also what keeps you on track in the tougher times. thanks for sharing your journey

@lindanameprivate thanks once again for the support. I’m sorry you are not able to do much right now it must be really frustrating. I am not at maintenance yet still a couple of kilos away from this goal and I will maintain around 65kilo which for my height is in the middle of the normal bmi.

@imkillingit it really doesn’t feel like a short time it feels like it’s been forever lol and I’ll try to answer your questions. When I started the weight loss was extremely rapid just from diet changes, and at 90kilos or so you can see I stopped losing weight in my diary and that’s when I began an exercise program I’m on 83 day of that right now. I’m vegetarian and I was just overeating before I’d lost my dad and I just didn’t care anymore. When I realised how big I had got and wanted to get my life back I cut out sugar completely, I didn’t ever used to eat it so was fine. I cut calories to 1200 calories and I didn’t restrict anything I could eat I just counted the calories and never went over ( I did have the occasional cheat day like once every 2 weeks where I have a nice treat and don’t count calories) the weight loss was so rapid I didn’t need to exercise and it was actually uncomfortable being so big and my knee hurt. So I decided to wait until I felt healthier. Got to 90 kilos and brought a FitBIT started a little slow but committed to walking 10000 steps a day nothing fancy or hard. As my fitness improved I’ve started jogging, no more joint pain and it’s easy now. As I said 83 days in I’m now doing 10000-12000 a day. I also do stomach crunches and push ups every other day and I practice yoga. I fasted maybe 3 times since I started I didn’t stick to any fasting plan or make it part of anything I just sometimes want to detox my body so I don’t think it played any part in it. I do think eating plant based makes weight loss a lot easier, less to worry about. So that’s it really i kept it simple and reduced intake and got moving. There wasn’t any magic tricks or anything just decided what I could live with doing everyday and stuck with it. I did chose to weigh myself daily to keep accountable. I did also try to enter my meals before I ate them so I could really keep an eye on my intake. The weight loss got very slow but since I’ve been working out and muscle gain balanced out it’s been very steady 1 kilo - 2kilo loss every 4 weeks. I plan to get to 65 and increase my calories I hope it helps you a new good luck on your own journey 🙏🏻
