Gwenny70's Journal, 11 Aug 17

I have got my son here for dinner so I got a roasted chicken from the supermarket. I am doing him roast pumpkin; roast potato & roasted yam; boiled silverbeet & mixed veges, I am having the boiled veges but have steamed the pumpkin & yam for myself, I removed the skin & bone before weighing the chicken so with the gravy I am still well under my 1500 calories.
Got my nails done today. Went for a slightly different colour!!Lilac!! La di dah!!

Not that strong!!! But if I slip I just restart.I have always just given up in the past but by not being so hard & critical of myself this time I am doing a lot better. The weight came on over a longish period so it isn't going to come off overnight.I guess its like when I gave up smoking I had about 6 relapses before I got into the right head space & was able to quit properly. And that was just over 5 years ago. So as my daughter says if I can do that I can lose the weight

Too right. My weight gain is due to giving up smoking. Have lasted a year now so time to stop filling my face and time to get out and get active. Had a fab 1 and half hour beach walk today. I am aiming for a better bod for summer. Ha ha. (Hard to give the wine the flick though)

I also loved a glass of wine but gave up a couple of years ago. I feel much better without it and have never missed it.
