Hello FatSecret Warriors:
Bread Update

So, as you may know I am testing different low carb bread recipes from the Internet. Last week we did Swedish Breakfast Buns. The verdict was soft, somewhat tasty but very caloric. now I know many low carbers say ignore the calories but these babies were pushing 300 per bun.

So this week I tried the best Keto bread on the internet - well, that is the title. Here is a link. https://www.ketoconnect.net/recipe/best-keto-bread/

Verdict:
A little more complicated with separating egg yolks and whipping egg whites and folding in ingredients using a food processor. I didn't do the steps exactly right plus I didn't have super fine almond flour but it still came out okay. Smelled great while in the oven. I cut it and smeared butter, cream cheese, almond butter and chia jam on it. Yum It didn't quite look like their picture but I will probably try again.

Unfortunately, the breads still are a bit grainy so I think the superfine will make a difference next time.

When I find the perfect bread, I will let everyone know (don't hold your breath :))

Bob

As cultures lose rites of passage, men take on bread-baking. That's a hypothesis I heard recently, anyway. What do the macros work out to be on these?

T8U9 - Rite of Passages for men have gone to the wayside but there still are interesting ways that I have experienced, not really for this forum though. Here are the macros per slice : cals: 130kcal | fat: 11.42g | carbs: 3.04g | prot: 5.30g It beats the 300 + for the swedish bun
