In normal circumsatnces (pre covid) I do 3 x 1600 swims/drills weekly and 2 x 60 mins weight training/stretching sessions a week. And 3 saunas. Now (post covid) after a lot of experimenting I have settled on 5 x 45 mins on turbo trainer and 5 x 15 mins weights/stretching a week. I love hearing about peoples exercise regimes!

Wow, Anne! That’s impressive 😮 ⛹🏻♀️I’m not very regular. Ideally I alternate sth like HIIT/Plyometrics/jogging with yoga/Pilates/Balletlates/brisk walking. (Not during period- bc of the effect of estrogen on tendons) - and YouTube is my source 🤗

I walk my dog, do some boxing and play vr fitness games. On my sore days I do some cycling

Hey Anne thats still impressive!! (even with the correction) since covid I've not been swimming, but did a lot of cycling, and my yoga, and I learned to do simple wights for my arms, I train at least 3 times a week again now, plus the 10k a day walking and the cycling usually more then an hour a day,

Chlo, I exercise, generally speaking, for fitness and the other benefits it brings. My mantra is: cardio for fitness, weight training for body shape, and diet for weight control. But they all work together to give an overall package.

Elizabeth, that is great. A good variety is important. I do more than the average person especially in my age group but it is what I am used to and what I love to do.

I lift weights 3x a week. On occasion I’ll race my kids, go for a walk etc but that’s not the norm. When in the losing weight phase (I’m in maintenance now) I would walk once a week around my kids activities and dance around the house when cleaning.

I swim every day I’m off, weather permitting. I do all my squats, donkey kicks, fire hydrants and scissor legs in the pool too.

I do push-ups mainly on holidays.
The frequency and intensity are changed monthly.
I also like plank and abdominal muscle training.
