Debbie Cousins's Journal, 01 Sep 21

Got my hair cut yesterday, so the hair loss isn't as noticeable. It's still falling out, but not quite as badly as it was.

Still off the rails food-wise. Scale is holding pretty steady at 220. YIKES! I've GOT to rein this in.

Sorry I haven't been keeping up with everyone. I DO check the comments to my Journal entries, but haven't been checking all the other notifications.

Not been very ambitious lately. I miss how productive I was when I was fasting! I think I've learned my lesson, though, about a super-extended fast without proper nutritional supplement. I've been taking the multi-vitamins, D3, and Biotin to help with my hair and fingernails. Now, if only I was eating a nutritionally balanced diet! Bread, bread and more bread seems to be the order of the day. UGH.

I'll try to do better about keeping in touch. I know there are a lot of you out there who care, and I appreciate it.

I know you can do this Debbie. We've both been struggling, but we've done it before and we can do it again. Right now you and I are just about in the same place. I'm determined to begin eating healthy, nutritious meals again, so join me and let's get this done. 🌈🌈🌈

Be careful, I think bread can be a deceitful nutrition. I haven’t touched any bread since I’ve started FS. And now I don’t miss it at all. Blessings Debbie!💪👍🌺

I can't tell you what to do, but I'd be shopping off of a list until you get things back under control if it were me. look inwards, something is bugging you. up to you to figure it out.

Please seek a nutritionist and a therapist. It is not good for you or helpful to your health to keep hurting yourself like this. Watching you do this and watching other people encourage this behavior is nothing short of crazy. Obviously you can't tackle this problem on your own. That's not a criticism towards you or your willpower or character. You're trying your best and just don't have the tools to cope with this problem. Please talk to a professional and stop listening to people on the internet tell you pseudo science.

Why is bread such a craving for us? It always leads to my sweet cravings. And then to eating too much! Today I'm trying to rely on protein drinks to knock down that three pounds from yesterday's bread indulgence. Hang in there Debbie, you have recovered yourself before and you will again! Good thoughts and prayers for you!

More dark-green veggies for the hair loss, then, call me in the morning....but seriously....more dark-green veggies. =)

I had to totally give up bread for a while to get out of the grip of the cravings it caused. One piece always lead to another, and another and another... so I feel your pain. Hang in there Debbie and use your next meal or snack as an opportunity to choose some foods that will enhance your health.

Wheat has been hybridized over 1000 times in the last 100 years. It's just now the same and causes inflammation now. I am struggling with it too.

There isn't a single one of us who couldn't do better my lovely. In the past, when you have struggled with appetite, you disappeared for a while; this time I can see that you are trying hard not to. It is especially hard for women to show up for ourselves but that is the key to good physical and mental health. Sending you sisterly love and compassion, may it provide you with strength.
