Debbie Cousins's Journal, 09 Jan 22

No digestive movement over the past couple of days, so weight up by more than usual this morning. Maybe I need to eat that last bowl of Navy Beans for breakfast!

I just realized we're missing a couple of people! Where are @Rindaloo and @Katies71? Anybody seen them lately?

Cold here (but not compared to you people who are exercising in MINUS freezing temperatures!) The nighttime lows wont get UP to freezing at all in the 10-day forecast. Last night, I had to sleep with socks on, and had to put another blanket on the bed.

Speaking of bed -- I think I'm going to go crawl back in until I have to get up to go to do my morning jobs. I usually go out between 7-8am, and I make about $35-$50 in about an hour and a half of price monitoring. It's really a perfect job for me, with my knees and back - I can't stand or walk for long periods of time, so the timing is perfect, and I'm thankful to God for the financial blessing.

Bet I can make you laugh... Here in Southern California, we are in the high '60s or even into the '70s during the day with '40s and '50s at night. But if I sit up at night my legs get cold and then I go to bed with socks on. If my feet are too cold I just have a hard time going to sleep. Usually, I take them off during the night. My husband is usually cold all the time but then the little room where he watches TV was originally part of the garage so 2 walls are not insulated. He goes upstairs where it is warmer to play with his computer to get warm. I've been willing to have the thermostat (downstairs) up to 75 during the day but can't stand it that warm. Now that I'm strictly dieting I get colder too. How high do you other people keep your thermostats during the day? I would like it about 68 at night but he can't handle it below 72. And you?

Katies71 posted once 8 months ago then it was more than a year gap before that. She was so counting on her gastric surgery to solve her problems but it often doesn't. She was fragile emotionally before the surgery so I was quite worried about her. We communicated privately once but I was concerned I couldn't be of help. She had many physical problems stemming from the surgery that were devastating, and said in her profile that she was cheating on her diet. Up till spring of 2020, she was losing but then gained about 25 lbs in the next 8 months according to her journal. I bet she was discouraged with that and Covid times. I will continue to pray for her and am sorry her life has been hurtful. I hope she found someone to be supportive. I just didn't have it in me and regretted that I couldn't be of help.
