A servere stroke, which has set her back a fair bit. She had similar health issues when she was my age so she's now pushing me to try harder than she did

So sorry to hear. I hope the recovery goes as well as it can. I understand her encouraging you to be as healthy as you can as it was during my recent health issues that I decided I needed to prioritise my health & loose the weight, not only to hopefully minimise future health issues but also to make recovery easier than this time if I did get sick again.
