Does anyone here use Apple Cider Vinegar for weight loss or other medicinal purposes? There are a lot of iffy looking You tube videos on the topic. I don't know what to make of it. Any experience or advice here? I'm curious.

It is sooo good for you! I take a tablespoon first thing in the mroning in a cup of water. But of course, you also have to make sure your metabolism is healthy, stick to your meal plan, and exercise 5 days a week for an hour a day.

I used to drink it first thing for a long long time. Honestley....I can't say it did anything. Never got used to the taste. Great to hydrate you after a long night but a glass of plain water does the same.

Same as schmetterlinge. I drank it for several months,, didn't like the taste and never noticed a thing as far as weight loss. I can't say about inflammation or other health issues as I didn't have any...

I use it in my salads. Sometimes for medicinal purposes, but don't consume it for weight release

I never tried it, but I've heard that a shot of it every morning aids weight loss along with your regular weight loss routines...can't speak from experience though.

Tried it. It did nothing for weight loss. Not sure about any other benefits. I did not notice any difference.

If you are not used to the taste and effects of ACV, you might want to include it into your diet gradually. Start by adding 1 teaspoon of ACV to a cup of water and drink it once a day (30 minutes after dinner is good). To kick start the metabolism and influence the feeling of fullness. ACV is very acidic, so you need to dilute it to protect your teeth ( Use straw to protect teeth), throat and the lining of your stomach. Don’t drink undiluted ACV

Adding vinegar to rice, potatoes, or bread decreases insulin by 40 - 50%. Apple cider vinegar is supposed to be fantastic for dieting, and I have it, I just can't make myself drink it. lol

I've been drinking a tablespoon of ACV in water before bed for years, and love it. My hubby puts his in lemonade Crystal Light since he can't tolerate the taste.

I make an 8 oz cup every morning with 1 tablespoon ACV and couple of pinches of stevia. First I heard, drink upon waking..then I heard after a meal.. (sigh).. either way, I drink it every day with room temp spring water.. Is it helping? IDK

Any comments on its benefits? Any research-based findings?

I benefit from it, especially with my low stomach acid issues. I also have a lot more energy. I can't vouch for it regarding weight loss or with blood sugar since I don't have issues with either of those.

ACV is very helpful for mucous thinning properties and digestive issues and kidney problems...its worth a try...also the probiotics in it are also beneficial.

I have a friend whose doctor suggested it for gall bladder issues. She swears by it. She has been able to postpone surgery (for over a year) because she takes it routinely.

Erika, I tried it for awhile. I never saw a benefit but did have problems with acid reflux. I also read articles about what the acid can do to your teeth so if you decide to use the vinegar I'd suggest you brush every time you drink the stuff.

I drink 2 tablespoons in hot water most days, to aid indigestion & bloat. It certainly helps me. Not sure if it assists with weight loss tho.
