I've been so so depressed lately.

3 months not drinking and now I remember WHY I drank...

Lonely every day...

And the worst part about being depressed because you're lonely is that there's nothing you can do about it. If people don't want to be around you you can't make them, ya know?

I could call people and hang out...just my siblings. But I want a romantic relationship honestly.

It's been 3 1/2 years that I've been single...but I hate everyone lol.

It's sad cause I'm 34 now and the older I get the less I'm willing to put up with anything less than perfect...and nobody's perfect =/

I want this weight gone so I can see if my options get better!!!!!

I am new and today is my first day on this board and I am hoping that you fill better about yourself. My recommendation would be to look into doing some volunteer work. Something you like and gives you incentive to get up, get dressed and out. You may have been single for awhile but , think of it this way, you can do what you want, when you want. I am rooting for you.

I'll be thinking about you. Get up and move around some will help. Walk, shop, clean (car or house), full-blown exercise routine, whatever. Getting out and doing things vastly increases your chances of developing a social life. You don't have to 'join' anything. And try to smile as a matter of habit. Much better than any make-up for increasing attractiveness.

First, I want to say congratulations on being 3 months sober. That in and of itself is a huge accomplishment. I struggle with chronic depression. You have options. Do you like where you live? If not, what's keeping you there? Sometimes changing your surroundings and starting fresh isn't a bad idea. If you like where you live, what do you like about it? Remember the things that bring you joy, and start making time for those things. As far as being single goes, you have to learn to really love who you are. It takes work but once you make yourself a priority, something in you changes. It makes you more attractive. I was single 8 years before I finally met my fiancé. It wasn't until I really started taking care of myself, and learning who I really am, and loving me regardless of what anyone else thinks. It's a hard process to go thru, but it's worth it. Independence is a wonderful feeling.

You are doing great. It took me a long time to finally come to the realization that no man or woman is worth loosing weight for. If they can not see me for the person I am on the inside then they aren’t worth your time. I don’t believe in settling and you shouldn’t. You are gorgeous and deserve happiness but happiness does start from within. Love yourself and the rest will fall into place. It sucks trying to find someone to share your life with and I hate hearing it but love finds you when you are not looking for it. I have been going to AA and Al-Anon for a while now and I’m focusing on finding peace within and it has given me so much light in my life. I’m loosing weight but I’m doing it because I want to do it not because I want someone to love me. Do it to prove to yourself that you love yourself. You will find happiness. But first find your confidence girl. You got this. Dress up do your hair or make up what ever makes you feel like the queen you are and rock it. Don’t do it for anyone else do it because you deserve to feel loved and once you have that confidence and you show the world what kind of queen you are all of your kingdom will start to sparkle. I believe in you girlfriend you got this.
