So lately I've been waking up around 2am or 3am and can't go back to sleep.
I think I'm just overly stimulated due to starting school and all my gym stuff and excitement over seeing progress again and getting so close to onederland.
One bad thing about no sleep is craving sweets...I am feeling it today. Thinking of donuts, ice cream, chocolate. DYING.
I'm so so tired I need sleep :(. Sleep is so important on this journey.

I get that way when I am too low on calories, make sure you are not way under your goal for the day. I am bad at that too.

losing sleep! I never really have cravings for sweets. sometimes I think about it for just plain the joy of it, but most things make me sick when I eat them, so it is not a craving. Just a mind kind of thinking.

Baskin - that's actually really interesting! Maybe I'll try to eat a little more today and see what happens because this is super weird that it happened multiple times this week and isn't normal for me. I have been eating very very low calories this week because of my dental work so haven't been wanting to eat...they worked on both sides of my mouth and one side has a huge hole and the other side is super sensitive. No fun.

Ha Adef you are a treat! Yes Sharon eat quality food that you enjoy and fill up. You have been banking those calories if you have not been eating much and a little above goal calories will not hurt. If you are satisfied at goal calories that is fine too. but you do have some calories in excess in the bank.

I just treated myself to a sugar free protein bar. It was delicious! I will just try to eat like 1500-1700 tonight I think. Trust me..it's mostly just teeth stopping me haha...I do not want to eat ice cream which I'm sure I could manage haha

Get melatonin tablets, 3 mg, take one 1/2 hour before bedtime. It's just enough to push you gently into sleep mode. Also - never read, watch TV or use your phone / tablet in bed. If you wake up and can't get back to sleep, don't toss and turn - get up and go somewhere else until you are sleepy again.

Last night I did also. Got up for a couple of hours, then went back to sleep. Not quite as good as sleeping all the way through.

I do boring chores (dishes, pack the kids lunches, etc) and avoid TV. Sometimes the boredom helps me go to sleep; sometimes I start the day tired but with a clean house.
Still don’t like insomnia
