Seems we (fatsecret) don’t know what a chicken tenderloin is, so I couldn’t create a recipe for my schnitzlets 😞

You can always add it as a custom food, ya know. :)

Yeah, but we’re doing a team scavenger hunt to flesh out all the gaps :)

Tenderloin is part of the breast meat that runs next to the breast plate. Just weigh it and use the breast meat numbers

Another good workaround. Here in AU at least, they are sold as two distinct cuts. Many novices won’t know that they can use the combination you mention.
Great suggestion though :)

depends where you buy your chicken from,,often if loose chicken breasts are bought from woolies or coles in the deli,,the tenderloin is still attached,,in packs especially in the organic pre packed they are two seperate cuts and charge the earth for them..

Sure.
My point being, they’re not in our food database & we don’t provide options when something isn’t found, beyond creating a custom food...

There’s Chicken Tenderloin Skewers if that helps

Yes I did see those. I’d have to check them out in Coles though, as my bet would be they’re marinated or something.
We have had an ongoing internal debate about the completeness of our database, and the way our search helps our customers find results that are meaningful.

Bought a tray of tenderloins at woolworths the other day with nothing added

That’s where I get mine too - need to scan the barcode on them & see if we get a match that way

Hi. How do I create a custom food?

When you do a food search, there should be an option near the bottom of the screen that says “Add new food”.
It’s a bit clunky, but it takes you through the steps...

I use the "cook book" option all the time to invent new recipes and edit them as I go. The cook book is awesome.
