Debbie Cousins's Journal, 24 Mar 22

Having an "I want to eat everything" day today. I've gotten in my water, but I don't think I've got 3-1/2 hours worth of Diet Coke left in this 2-liter bottle! Made the mistake (knowingly) of buying some Tate's Curiously Crunchy cookies today, and I've eaten half the bag (there are only 14 thin cookies in the bag, but still!). Just reached the one-mile mark with my walking so far, which isn't bad. With being OUT for most of the morning, I haven't had as many 200-step walking stints as I usually would have had by this time. Still, it's progress that I'm walking at all.

Tomorrow will be a much calmer day. Just have my jobs in the morning and then taking a couple out for Mexican food that night. I am SO looking forward to that guacamole that they make at your table! There will be lots of tortilla chips involved, but I haven't been out for Mexican food in probably over a year, so it's not like it is an indulgence I'm having every week.

All I have left to do to reach all five of my mini-goals is to put ON my walking shoes and to WATCH the Plus-Size HIIT video. I also intend to continue getting up every 30 minutes with the timer for my 200 steps. Might finish out with a mile and a half today. Looking forward to bedtime after getting about 4 hours less sleep than I usually do last night.

We all have those days! Mine are usually when I'm exhausted and have to kick it into high gear at work. I also find that the days I drink Diet Coke, I tend to want to eat more. I know you're trying to cut back, and my hat's off to you on that front. It's a tough one to give up. I speak from experience on that one.

Happens when you have too many carbs the day before. Be careful!
