The lift heavy or more reps is exactly what my trainer does. I am always on a 3 week cycle of heavy, mid and lots of reps. Actually dreading today’s workout as it will be less weight but 15-17 reps and it is lunge day. I get done with lunges and I can hardly walk! Power on for the weekend!

Redporchlady, since I'm a newbie some moves I can only do at a lower weight but I can do all my reps. Baby steps!

Sherryeb you are doing great. When I first started 3 years ago it was light weights. Squats and lunges were just body weight and we’re just as hard then as now. The slow progression will keep you from hurting yourself too! Every workout just moves you forward either in reps or weight. I am still a newbie myself and only can talk about what I have experienced but love hearing everyone’s progress!!
