Well nothing worked yesterday. I ate less calories than the day before. 935 Cals and Carbs were 11.61. I increased my exercise from 20 minutes to an hour and not even a gram came off! Either my scale is not working or I'm screwed.

Ooh I hear you!! I’m so sorry that really sucks! I have had that happen to me a lot too. I have experimented around and everyone is different but I have found if I eat too little calories my body tries to hold onto anything I give it. Then too many and again I gain weight. There is only about 200 calories difference so I found a sweet spot in the middle at about 1050 cal. 950 too low. 1150 too high. Hope that helps maybe? Just keep at it! I know you can do it! The struggle is real 😂

Also in only one day even maintaining weight is great. Some weeks I’d stay the same or gain weight but I’d find I had to tighten my belt buckle by one. It’s not all about the figure on the screen

Wow that makes total sense. The thought did cross my mind that perhaps I wasn't eating enough and my body was holding on to whatever I ate. Then I started over thinking! Not gaining is better than gaining. I'll analyze what the counts were on the says when I did lose. Thanks so much. Appreciate your helpful advice.👍👍🙂

Hi, I have a few tricks that could help, keep water intake up, 2-3 liters a day, but not after 7pm, try not to eat after 7pm aswell. The body holds onto water at night so weight may not shift the next day. Also I find having juice with what ever essentials you like to pop in- in the morning with fiber, cheese in crackers with a piece of fruit at lunch and an omelette for tea always helps me drop 500g the next day, I do that once a wk 😉, hope these wee tricks may help.

@vsimmons34 My water intake is about 3L. I will try those meal suggestions tomorrow. I usually have my last meal @7.30 but I continue to drink water until I go to bed. Will try stop water at the same time.

...... sorry to burst your bubble guys. but noone ever gained weight by eating too little....#famine.... weightloss is all about energy balance. calorie deficit. maybe you are eating more than your energy output for the day so of course you will gain. I would recommend finding out your true maintenance calories. To do this weigh yourself everyday and eat the same things every day for a week or so. if the scales drop then you are in a deficit if they go up you are in a surplus if they stay the same you are eating at maintenance. then you can adjust your calories from there to be in a deficit. remember if you lost 500g-1kg every day then you will eventually die! A good loss is 1kg a week. the scales will fluctuate daily but as long as the overall trend is downward then you are progressing. dont let the scales rule your life. go by how your clothes feel, progress photos. getting stronger in the gym. stay consistent and keep going. you'll get there! 😁

@Krista.T In my case I gain weight if I eat over 40 carbs a day. Calorie counting appears to make little difference. I can eat between 900 and 1300 calories a day and workout 20-60 minutes, if most of those calories are high in carbs I gain. If I eat under 40 g of carbs and eat 1900-2400 calories with 20 minutes of exercise I lose weight. I'm still experimenting but those are the results so far. I am testing which carbs make me gain at the moment. My goal is not to die lol.
