I think I need to slow my weight loss again. I’ve lost like 3 kilos int he last 5-6 weeks ? And my stomach is looking terrible. The skin just has this wrinkly look to it 🙁
I am doing 60 sit-ups a day and raises too but it doesn’t seem to help because I think I carried all of my weight on the stomach area.

Any suggestions because I’m trying to avoid having a lot of loose skin but beyond not losing more weight I’m not sure what I can do.

I noticed this a few months back so I took care to drastically slow down the weight loss and until now it had been pretty good considering all the factors lol

I guess I want to know if I go back to losing 1-2 kilos every 2 months will the skin tighten up a bit or is it just hopeless because it was holding so much weight prior ?

Goodness I hear you, this is something I worry about too. Try a Google search on 'loose skin autophagy', I'm kinda fascinated by this process. 🥰

Interesting so it’s just fasting. I do fast occasionally. I’m not sure how much it will help with my final goal I’d have lost 90 kilos?

The other thing I've heard of is collagen supplements, but not sure of the science on that one. I think you're doing all the right things, with slowing your loss and working your muscles 💪. Oh, for automatic elasticity!

Autophagy starts around 16 hours after you last meal. So maybe do an 18 hour fast with a 6 hour eating window a couple of times a week? No expert here 🤓, but I don't think it's about how much you eat... rather the length of the fast turning on your bodies regenerating features?!

Totally understand - vegetarian here. 😊 Your weight loss is inspirational. I have half that to lose (mostly belly) and seeing your posts is one of the things that helps me keep going. FatSecret peeps are so encouraging and supportive. Keep on grinding and celebrating your hard won accomplishments. 🙌👏🙌

Aww thnx dotty you are inspirational yourself! It takes a lot to decide to make these changes. I know the support here is so helpful I think it really helped me this last year. And fellow veggie 🙌🏻👍🏻 I’ll keep you updated on the skin issues and how I progress for when you get to this point in your journey too.

ive just joined today. wow that's an incredible effort! I want to lose 50 kgs ......but with carrying a couple of injuries resulting in severe osteoarthritis in my foot and torn ligament in my knee plus going through menopause its seems soooo far out of reach!

Hey sue welcome to FatSecret. It’s all about small changes I couldn’t exercise when I started out here. I just counted calories and reduced my intake. Do what you can and I hope you get as much support here as others have 😊 you can definitely reach your goal 🙏🏻

Drinking lots of water and exfoliating can help with loose skin :) Hydration helps with elasticity and exfoliating helps with blood flow <3
