Almost three quarters of a kilo gained this week. Trying to settle into a maintenance routine (not logging food), rather than a weight loss one. Have needed to eat more calories. App has suggested going up to 2500-3000 kcal, based to maintaining a moderate level of activity. Did my first 5k run over a lunch break this week, and did another 3k this morning, following breakfast. Pretty stoked about the 5k. Using a stationary bike just to tick over the exercise minutes each day (goal is 40 minutes exercise every day, with varying intensity to ensure this old body doesn't get another injury from my she'll be right attitude to exercise), along with lunchtime walks, and taking the stairs as often as possible.

Still feeling good, and pleased to not be logging food every meal.

I will watch where this weight thing goes though. Hopefully, I can trade some fat for some actual condition on this old frame.

20kg's lost. Now down to 189 lb's in old money. I think I will call it there.

I have had a lot of work mates comment on the changes they have seen. I'm not gonna lie - it's felt good. But I also know it has been easy for me to loose the weight, being a bloke and having very few barriers to success in my way. It is not something I take for granted. I have heard others story's, with challenges, set-backs, and successes. It gets people talking about how they are. It's been an eye opener.

Now that I have reached a weight where I am happy, it's time to look to what's next. My health is better, my attitude and outlook is better, and I am more motivated to get stuff done. Will still need to be able to cope with the inevitable ups/downs/crises/celebrations/left-field wtf's that life has in store for us all, but I think I am in a more resilient position now.

Participating here has only built my respect for each of you. It is not easy to stay the course with everything that arises in life. Reading your comments, watching the numbers go up and down, is testament to each of you taking the hard steps to realise the goals you have set yourselves. Your reasons for using the app, and your ongoing participation have been a daily inspiration.

Finally, the app has been a literal god-send. It was simple and it didn't require weekly payments, and there was already a group of
people working towards, and achieving their goals. Thank you to you all.

I started this journey by hating myself. Looking back now, I was really only trying to give myself a chance to change.

Postscript:
I'll continue to check in, but will be trying to reduce how often. This is part of figuring out how to keep what's been gained (or lost, depending on your point of view 😀). Maybe the participation is the key. I'll find out.
