We have taken 10-12 trips i the past 4-6 weeks. Trying to learn where to go for several types of shrooms. Today we found 7-8 lbs of chanterelles

Chanterelles & other mushrooms can weigh quite a bit when the are first picked on a drizzly day @melissa. But it's still a boatload! 🍄 They will dry out in a few days.

My daughter named Truffle after chocolate truffles @RosioWCDI . She's our expert mouser and loves to spring surprise attacks on her sister, Blizzard, and mama, Timmy. We also call her Demon Cat, Demonika, Dumbo Cat.

What a sweet little kitty! And I love those names and nicknames. I had a black cat growing up who we named Tosha that we sometimes called Salem. Very cool about the mushrooms, you guys are so lucky to be able to forage and find so much! Is that a seasonal thing? Everything else looks great, just missing the vino.

Mushroom sorts are indeed seasonal NN and we're kind of getting to end of finding chanterelles in good shape. Eventually the rains, snows, freezing night temps will do them in. A 2015 WildStock PN from ScottPaul was served with this meal. Delish 😋🍷
