Rolled out some pasta - ravioli & tortellini - for time in a couple of months. Filling was homemade creamy ricotta, meatballs, parmesan. 😋

Agreed Katsolo👍 I owned a manual pasta roller before I decided to do it. Not too hard. Fear is our worst enemy Saskia. For simple pasta google "Fabio Viviani pasta dough"

Look delicious, I got pasta Make last year for Christmas and I haven’t used it yet, now I have an excuse to pull it out! Thanks for sharing! And I’m going to check out “Fabio Viviani pasta dough.”

I started rolling out my own past last April. Probably made it 10-12 times now. Every batch has been good but it's takes a bit of practice to get dough thin without ripping. Yesterdays pasta was the best to date. I'd recommended making handcut papardelle first. It's rustic & hides any mistakes. Good luck!! I may pm you if that's ok. LMK.

The funny thing about all those cooking shows is how they have purposely overcomplicated everyday tasks that were done in homes on a daily basis before electricity. Pasta is one of those things, so is bread.

Looks great! Adds weight. Ate pasta 4 of last 5 days and put on over 5 lbs. Pasta was the thing I mostly eliminated 2 years ago and this vefifies why. I woof it way too much 🐕🐕

Not cynicism so much as kitchen reality checks growing up. We made bread, we made yogurt, heck i think i remember making the starter for sourdough although i need to ask mom if we were ever actually allowed to eat anything from that science experiment. That said, i am in awe of those with master knife skills and those who can produce true gastronomic magic. It’s an entertainment network.
