Debbie Cousins's Journal, 14 Jul 21

DANG! Been having trouble with my computer this morning. Everything is excruciatingly slow. Just wrote a longish Journal entry, and when I went to SAVE it, it said "site can't be reached" and it didn't record the entry. SO, y'all get nothing this morning. I WILL say (repeat) that I lost a pound from yesterday, even though my calories were right at 2,000. That was encouraging. I DID get in 6 cups of water yesterday. But, it didn't improve my knee tightness and pain first thing this morning, as I thought it might. The entire time I was fasting, my knees didn't bother me, except with exertion. No morning pain or stiffness. I need to do some research on inflammatory foods.

Taking the kids to the community pool today. It is supposed to be 93 degrees this afternoon. Hope they'll really enjoy themselves and that my little one will be brave enough to jump off the diving board!

Ok, that's all you get, since my previous note got erased. Hope you all have a good day, and hope I come up with a good plan for eating at the pool with the kids. They're having McDonalds - don't know what I'll settle upon. Maybe I'll just wait until I get back home to eat.

Here's a trick for you. Before you hit submit, highlight everything and then do CTRL-C. That puts your entire post on the clipboard. Then if the site has a glitch, you can paste it into a Notepad document (on your computer) or email (on your phone). Then you can try again later. Hope that helps!

Gr8 job on the 1lb down!👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 I have my comments do this all the time... If I'm on the computer (not app) I hit the back button and it reappears, usually. Liz has the best solve for this issue!!! Research fermented foods and inflammation... just be careful if you try them, they can cause itching, a rash and other reactions in a few people. From what I have learned (which isn't much, yet) they are best to eat when breaking a fast and fermented sauerkraut & kimchi (not all are fermented) are excellent for inflammation. Have fun at the pool and enjoy the time with the littles!! 🌞👩‍👧‍👦🏊🏼‍♀️💞

Have just recently been looking into inflammatory foods and was shocked to find out many oils are on the list. I've been looking at ingredients more and so many have the 'wrong' oils used. Also corn, which is a bummer as I love it. I DO live in the #1 corn state in the US...

Have fun at the pools. Have a look at the McDonald’s menu on the calorie tracker, so you have a back up option if you can’t wait to get home. Keep up the awesome work 👏
