My RDI for weight loss is 1200 cal. I'm trying keto and it is flipping hard trying to get carbs down. Pre-keto I was consuming 40-45% carbs daily mostly from veges/lentils/kumara/carrots etc. I lacked protein as I'm not a fan of meat. I've managed to get carbs down to 11% hovering around 16% on average. To make things harder I saw a Naturopath today for my autoimmune condition who has suggested to go dairy and gluten free. Who knew food would be my biggest stress factor, it used to bring me joy!!!

I hope you find that joy again. Start with the mindset. Instead of looking at what you are deprived of.. look at what you can still in enjoy in moderation:) hope it helps

40%carbs isn't bad at all, tho 16% carbs form a health point of view is really dangerous(it does deal with weight fairly fast) if u do not excercise 16% can barely make ur body function but if u do cardios etc maybe eat more carbs, tho u may lose weight slower there's lower risk.

hi I was told that to stay healthy and lose weight have between 100 and 80 grams of carbs per day, that worked for me but I found it even at 80 grams nit enough long term
