oops did a bit too many squats on Wednesday I can barely walk today 😆 🤣 I'll get plenty of rest since it's going to rain for 2 full days here and I won't be getting my steps in 😢

that reminds me months ago, I thought about starting to work my legs and I started with so much energy that I did a lot of squats with a 15 lbs weight (jump, squat) that was in the afternoon! when I finished doing my exercises I took a shower, cooked, ate and with the hours I felt pain in my legs (I thought it's normal😕) I went to the sofa to rest I was waiting for it to be time to sleep (it's time🤪) I went to the bathroom and laughed and I laughed ( I could not walk 🤣) I got to the toilet and I laughed and laughed ( I could not sit down 🤣) I live on the second floor and I have a dog 😫! I had to take the dog out and the stands were too much for me😫, at that moment 🗣I told my husband you have to massage my legs because I can't do anything and tomorrow I have to work😮‍💨😮‍💨!! he did a good job 👍🏼relieved the pain to 50% 😳😳ask me if i did more squats after that😫 NOO!!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Haha chume yes sitting and standing are deffintly fun today. It's all part of the process, I made changes to my stance that allowed me to get a much deeper squat than I had been previously. Mag and Buenita you are definitely right maybe a few less sets next time.

It’s all about learning to do these activities in a safe manner and without exposing yourself to injury.

Yeah- with legs seems like day 2 is always worse than the day after. The most sore mine ever were- I lived on the fourth floor of an apartment and I was not lifting or really doing any kind of exercise. At that point I probably weighed 250 pounds and the day of moving in was horrible- or moving out? One or the other or both. Up and down and up and down forever. Thank God it was just a small studio. I thought I would die the next day.

Yep always the second day and if your feeling it already by the first day you know your really in for it on the second

Do you take creatine? EAA’s/BCAA’s + turmeric save my ass every day. I still get DOMS, just not as intense. Tools to consider.

Allegra yes I've been taking creatine for a month and a half now but not the other supplements. I was getting the Doms really bad when I first started doing squats but I had gotten them to a point where it wasn't bad at all. I do a 10 minute warm up and cool down ride on my bike trainer on leg day and it has made a huge difference. It's bad today because I changed my stance to a wider than shoulder width stance and I'm able to squat so much deeper now and with better upright form as well. Because I was now going deeper I had to drop the weight and reps down a bit so I did a bunch of extra sets to make up for it in my mind lol. I'll look into the otherstuff you mentioned thanks.
