My mother-in-law had a stroke yesterday. It affected her fine motor skills in her right hand and peripheral vision in right eye, and she can’t stand on tiptoes or walk heel to toe. She’s still in the hospital. I’m determined to continue my walking through this! Might not be able to do my pre-surgery exercises, though - didn’t get them in yesterday because I was at the hospital for two hours and then texting and calling several people after that.

I'm so sorry. I know when my Dad was in the hospital, my mom walked the floor from elevators through all of the halls and checked on him as she passed by.
She used bands to exercise in his room when he was resting. BIG HUGS to you both!

So sorry she is going through this. I know it puts extra pressure on you, your husband, and the whole family. I pray she recovers well. Getting old isn't for sissies. My husband was in the hospital emergency for 3 days again last week, and I stayed with him. Sleeping on a straight chair with my head on his food tray or leaning against the wall was tough. I slept one hour each night.

HOORAY! She gets to come home this afternoon. Will need some therapy a couple times a week, but they expect her to make a full recovery. God is good!

Prayers 🙏🙏 for your mother-in-law, my mom had a stroke and lost her ability on her right side. She couldn't walk or get out of bed with out assistance. I hope she gets better soon.
