don't lose heart, otb. everyone experiences setbacks. 🤍 the important thing, I imagine, is that you don't lose sight of the big picture... perfection is not a thing and healthy life decisions are a thing and are highly personal. don't give up. listen to what your body is telling you even I your body is telling you to chill for a bit.

Hoping that your knee will heal swiftly

The food sounds awesome. Not so much regarding the knee. You will just have to rest it and look for some gentle exercises later to strengthen it. Or see an ortho who are very helpful.

MorticiaAddams I've tried resting it I took almost a month off running and just started again. I've been to doctor, ortho, chiropractor and physical therapist... ita not even my knee that's the problem anymore my hips keep rotating from work spending hours a day driving around carrying heavy things doing manual labor is the problem. Training is actually the only thing helping to strengthen all the little muscles that Stabalize evrrthing in the spine and pelvis. I have adapted my training significantly to help me move forward.

Otb, yes.😖🤍 It is easier said than done. I have been there. I really have. Don't hurt yourself to the point where you can't heal properly, though. Then you'd really be bummed out.

I'm sorry friend 😔 I know how you feel. I really hope the knee behaves soon (or your hips?). when you went to the PT, did they do a proper gait analysis while running? if not, it might be worth finding somewhere that does that.

It Truely Sucks when our bodies rebel! The hip bone connected to the thigh bone connected knee bone, you're on the right track. This may sound crazy but do you sit on a billfold when you are driving... From past team truck drivers, it misalignes the spine and can cause the issue you are dealing with now. We both had to stop carrying them in the hip pocket. The change was amazing.

Sorry to hear about the knee acting up again, sounds like you are still remaining active though.. Hope your knee starts giving you some relief…

Sorry about the knee problems. It is hard to scale back when you are competitive even with your own goals. I know I feel a lot better even though my workouts are modified and I will probably build back up and then have to back off again at some point.

It’s nice to think that you can just endure the pain and get through the event and recover after, sadly there’s a chance you might cause permanent damage. Like my left shoulder… enduring the pain through the workout, oblivious of the fact that something could completely tear off. Now I suffer with forever clicking and soreness in certain angles. Was it worth it? For me I would take it back in an instant. What’s this event worth to you? Your body signals pain for a reason is all I’m saying. Remember why you start this journey in the first place. To be healthy and strong or to tear your body up?Most likely you’ll get through it. But there’s that slim chance that exist.

It's hard to deal with injuries when you are so motivated and determined! Try to remember to take care as you don't want to do permanent damage. We fired up the smoker on Monday. My husband smoked baby back ribs. Always delicious! Your turkey sounds yummy!!👍

Smoked turkey and crepes sounds awesome!! 🤤 I feel for you with the body not cooperating. It sucks. It may help to focus on some of the positive things your body can do. Like being thankful you are able to do a pull up (or probably many). I know it doesn’t solve the problem but sometimes if you change the focus, you’ll feel better about the situation. I hope things are just temporary in that area. And remember to enjoy the journey.

Perfect time to quit so much cardio and switch to bodybuilding. :D Overuse injuries are a thing of the past for me. Stimulate the muscles and feed them for a while. Let the knee heal.

Ah, just read the comment about the manual labor job. I guess that's the issue.

Asarver thanks 😕 i went to the chiropractor on Friday and Tuesday been good since then back at work today and just driving around for a few hours I can already feel it starting again this friggin seat in my work vehicle is causing most of my issues at this point. I'm just at my breaking point so friggin frustrated I've been training a year for this course. They checked my walking gait by when I was in pt I really couldn't run at that point I've made significant improvements to my running form but a gait check is something I have planned for next year
