It may look from my food journal like I had six slices of lemon cake today, but I really “only” had two slices - it’s just very high in calories! It turned out GREAT! I’m not generally a lemon person, and neither were most of the other people at the party - but everyone loved it!
Today I have been totally exhausted! I was on my feel almost all day, cooking. I got up long enough to get my grandson on his bus, and then went back to bed. Got up for 1/2 hour to eat lunch and then went back to bed until almost time for him to get off the bus. I just got his homework supervised, ate a Lunchable, and am going back to bed now. I managed to walk ONE mile, so I didn’t break my every day record. 325 days in a row now!

Morticia, if you’re interested in making it, just look online for “Lemon Cake - Preppy Kitchen,” and you’ll get the recipe for the cake, the icing, and a link for making “cake strips” so your layers bake flat (not domed)
