Officially started “diet” again yesterday, after almost a month off. Weight yesterday was a whopping 187 - up almost 10 pounds from pre-Thanksgiving weight. There’s something for me about the 28th of the month. I originally started this diet plan on June 28th of 2022. I started walking on October 28 2022. Now, back on track on 12/28.

I didn’t start my walking yet, but will on 1/1. Goal for this year is at least 2 miles a day, but I’d like to get up to an average of 4-5 miles a day.

I managed to limit to 1,850 calories yesterday. Have lunch date at Mexican restaurant today, so might be higher; but, I’m still going to try to keep it under 2,000. Allowing for 1/2 cup of Guacamole with 10 tortilla chips and a Shredded Beef Chimichanga. Need to make some Jell-O today for when I want a snack.

Sounds like you are ready to knuckle under. I am gradually going to do better. I don't do well with extremes either way and I have been out of control. A Mexican meal sounds good.

I am right there with you slowly getting back to eating better and soon to start walking again. Let's make 2024 a good year.

Thanks Glamper and Morticia. Well, I didn’t do as well as I had hoped I would yesterday. Instead of 10 tortilla chips and 1/2 cup of guacamole, I had more like 15 chips and 3/4 cups 🥑. Then, my husband’s aunt gave us 2 cans of gourmet double-dipped chocolate peanuts. I ate way more of them than I should have. Before I went to bed last night, I asked my husband to hide BOTH cans from me. When I woke up at 3am, he had only hidden the ONE opened can, and I got into the other one! Over 500 calories later, he’s still sleeping, and I’m still indulging.

Good for you! I'm trying to get back on track. Still in the "abandon ship" mentality if I go over my calorie allotment.
