SLYONE 22's Journal, 30 Mar 22

Had a good visit with the Dr yesterday. She's well pleased with my current weight. I have lost 86# in 2.5 years.

BP is really good. The only concern at this point is my decreased kidney function. She did more testing yesterday. Scheduled for bone density scan and a sonogram of kidneys. Also referred to Nephrologist. Absolutely no Nsaids and trying to increase water every day. I'm not diabetic nor do I drink alcohol. Hopefully the discontinued Meloxicam and increased hydration will be enough to improve my kidney numbers.

I am feeling better than I have in many years. It is difficult for me to grasp that I have moderate kidney disease.

I'm thankful that with the support of this community and my family I have lost 30% of my body weight. Your suggestions, information and tips are invaluable. That you share the tough times and struggles, helps to make me feel that I am as normal as I am likely to be. We are all a bit crazy, sometimes we function better than others!

May God's Grace continue to Guide us through the trials and tribulations to the healthy lives we seek. Thank you all for being such incredible people!

Sounds like a lot of good news other than the kidney problems. I hope the nephrologist has some good news too. I worked as a dialysis nurse. My advice to you would be to take as little OTC meds as possible.

FTS I am Proud but humble. Without support from FS friends, family and God's guidance and blessings I wouldn't have accomplished this much.
