SLYONE 22's Journal, 26 Apr 22

I'm happy for the weight loss. I am in a place right now, where I'm really trying not to be number oriented. This is a new space for me. I know I'm building muscle and there's more inflammation. I'm just weighing to be sure I don't backslide. I started lifting very cautiously with a trainer last week. It's 2 days a week. I also started water Aerobics last week. It's 3 days a week. I really like the lifting. It feels good to be working back into it. The water Aerobics is more challenging than I expected, maybe because I am not there for the social hour or the cake.

My allergies issues turned into a sinus infection and hacking cough so I missed 2 sessions of WA. Feeling enough better to go again now. Didn't miss out on the lifting. Replaced 1 day of WA with a 3.5 mile walk in 30-40 mph wind. May not the brightest choice. Just Needed to prove to myself that I could do it.

Hubby's family Reunion was this past Saturday. Lots of cooking and traveling, not enough sleep. Good to see everyone. Glad to be home and getting back into a routine.

Lipid Panel came back good. Total 167, HDL is 70. Kidney #s have improved. Now the not so good. One set of numbers indicates that this could be something more serious. I also have have a cyst and a small unidentified lesion on my left kidney and my right kidney appeared small on the sonogram. MRI on Friday and Nephrologist appt. the 3rd. Hopefully I will get more concrete info.

Sorry this is so long, and I have been out of touch with all of you! I popped in to check on your journeys, but my head wasn't in the game. Please know that I am still praying for you and your success. Your posts lift me up. I will try to get back in touch this week. Just alot of uncertainty in my world.

Blessings on your journeys and your families!
Through God all things are possible.

My thoughts & prayers are with you my friend, as they continue to monitor your kidneys. You are doing your body big favors with good nutrition & exercise...and that's awesome! Wish I could get back to swimming again, but the pool's kinda far away...oh well...ENJOY!!🏊‍♀️

It's important to monitor how healthy we're getting -- both inside and out. A lot of dieters just think "Lower Calories, Exercise More" without bothering to keep tabs on their cholesterol, sugar, and sodium levels, and noting how some foods will hurt their organs. It's encouraging to see you being so diligent in tracking the details here.

Sorry to hear about the problem with your kidneys. Hope everything works out okay. I also have inflammation that shows up in blood tests (CRP levels). Do you try to follow an anti inflammatory diet?

listen.... i did an 8 day water fast with electrolytes purely for fat loss purposes. It was great. a surprising consequence was that my allergies completely disappeared. I suffer from allergies so badly that i get allergy induced bronchitis. people are always asking if i am sick etc. I sneezed 1 time this season. I usually have 20 sneeze fits. i normally take 5 grams of histidine per day for a week to knock out my allergies but I haven't had to touch my aminos this season not for nothing, my sneeze occurred on day 2 of my eating food again. still no other allergy symptoms. fasting and autophagy will clear out and rebuild everything.

Fasting and autophagy or masking? Allergy statistics have been impressive the last two years.

i am looking to get into water aerobics too, and im going to opt for the very beginner course.. I felt like it wouldn't be challenging due to no resistance but I might do more research into it first!

Summer thanks for the suggestion. Not a possibility medically right now. Glad it worked so well for you.

Kenna you're so right about the crazy allergies. We have high wind watches and warnings almost daily with fire danger because it is so dry! Praise the Lord, we got some rain last night. Smells so good!

Jenny, you will enjoy the WA. You can control the resistance with the depth of the movements and speed. It is quite soothing for sore muscles after lifting. Go for it!
