SLYONE 22's Journal, 09 Jul 22

I've been trying to make myself stay off of the scale for for the past several weeks. Body shape is changing. I am able to lift heavier and move better. I repeat frequently to myself, muscle weighs more than fat . Really trying not to be ruled by the scale.
I have gone from mostly sedentary to active. The water aerobics and lifting have become the skeletons around which I plan the rest of my life.
I've started to limit my non-moving time to no more than 1 hour at a time until late evening. Excited to be getting projects Done, that I have put off for years.
Next new habit to cultivate, earlier to bed earlier to rise. We will see how it goes. I have always been a night owl.
All of these changes would surely have been easier to make 30 years ago. Oh well, it is Now and the changes Are Happening.
Thanks to all of you for your encouragement and support. You don't know how many times you are the motivation to someone who is struggling. Please keep posting your difficulties and triumphs. They may be the life blood of someone else's success!
Blessings on you all.
Have a wonderful weekend!

I bet you look fantastic! Muscle doesn't weigh more, it's just a nice tight shape! ❤️ takes up much less room. Take pics for progress!

1981, thanks for the support! We share many of the same attitudes toward fitness. It just took me longer to get on track.

Johnny, it's not pound vs pound. It is ounces per square inch.

Wife, thanks so much for the reminder. Not just improving the body, improving mental health too. I embrace my crazy, but good to have a little less to embrace!

Love every word of this!! So inspirational. I try so hard to keep an upbeat attitude, but it does get rough going sometimes. Nice to see such a positive approach.

Steady, thank you for your affirmation. I too have tough days, but I embrace my crazy and talk to myself. Some days are better than others. This forum is a great motivator. There are so many supportive and caring people who have been through the same things. You're doing great! Impressive progress.
