I'm alive part robot part human physically and mentally exhausted but tired of making excuses for that and eating more to drown it out. I increased my activity a bit and cut back my calories in an effort to reclaim or push past my former achievements. Last i checked i was over 76 hours of work this week

Oh man. That’s rough. May I ask what you do?? That is intense hours. Be mindful of ways to ease the load. 🙏❤️

Redporchlady thanks I think you have more faith in Me than I do though 😆. May was the initial goal because I didn't plan to try and cut back again until the new year. I don't like the direction I was headed slowly putting on more fat. I have deffintly become totally fat phobic (for myself dont care about anyone else they make their own chocies) I'm sure that's not a good thing but ohh well. We will see what kind of commitment I make to this. I am oncall 7 of the next 15 weeks and that is what really kills my progress, I'm always 1 call away from falling apart diet wise. But ohh well It was my choice to take all these shifts. I would like to hit my ideal body fat percentage by January 3 rd so I can do a 1 year progress pic comparison with all the holidays and work this won't be easy but that's the goal

Hang in there, Otb! I know your pain, I've done those callouts in the middle of the night and the 70+ hour work weeks. The joy of the OT$$$, the sadness of not having the time off to spend it ☹️ Hope all of your meal prep is in order, or that the DW is able to help out. No dashboard dining!

JustBananas meal prep is good haven't eaten poorly really just more than I should be of healthier stuff but it still adds up and adds on lol 😆 I normally work an extra 10 hour shift a week but with OT shut down oncall is the only way to get It . It had been 4 weeks since I got any OT so I literally made up for a months worth of overtime in 1 week 🙃 hopefully this week is slower than last week I would be ok with 20 hours extra this week don't need 35 plus again lol

They did leave me alone last Sunday though which was Great because I was out stupid late the night before so that 75 plus hours was in 6 days 😬

I changed my profession a few years ago (aka midlife crisis) and traded my hardhat for heels. I miss the challenge of fixing the breaks, but I do not miss the late hours or being on crews with foremen that valued OT over family/friends/pre-made plans/social life. My current career is just as rewarding intellectually, but I get airconditioning, heat, indoor plumbing, and clean clothes 😁.

JustBananas nice! I like working with my hands and going new places everyday. I have a bachelor's degree in business administration / entrepreneurial studies and a minor in sociology the I essentially flushed down the toilet 😄

Nope -- that's not a flush. Look to your future. I had a bachelor's before I did the utility company, too, then midlife crisis'd it with more school to land where I'm at now. Will also add that I was one of 7 women in a pool of 150 employees, and the best treatment I got was from the handful of guys that also had degrees. I build & fix things now as hobbies, but no longer worry about getting injured on the job daily. You can still build on your degree; it's not going anywhere.

3dkids2 thanks. And thankfully I got to power the machine down a bit yesterday and enjoy some time with the family and watch my son play in his football game.
