SLYONE 22's Journal, 04 Nov 22

It has been an eventful couple of weeks! Spent several days altering the eldest daughter's wedding dress that took twice as long to arrive as promised. Thank the Good Lord for a super friend and seamstress all rolled into one fabulous person. She put her remodeling project on hold and spent 2 days with us!

Then it was time to decorate the pavilion at the lake 30 miles from home, for the Viking themed wedding and dinner. Everything turned out beautifully in spite of total exhaustion!

I've spent this week in recovery mode. I've been sleeping when I felt like it and I have skipped workouts last Wednesday through this week. I will be back on track starting next week.

I truly understand exhaustion and hitting a wall. I was physically and mentally unable to go on Sunday. It's is affirmation in color and stereo when I look back at what I was able to do. Maybe remembering to eat and sleep would have been a better choice. I would never have been able to do what I did 6 months ago.

I had a MRI of my brain on Wednesday due to what may have been a very mild brain event several months ago. Short term memory just isn't what I feel it should be. Didn't show any major issues. Dr. says add a baby aspirin a day. I'm OK with that as I no longer take BP med or cholesterol med as they are well within the normal range.

I'm never going to be my 20-30 something self again, but when I look around and I'm the only one who can do what needs to be done... I've got this!

Thanks 3dkids2! It's been a crazy month! 5 birthdays this month. 2 anniversaries and a wedding in 5 days. Hubby and I celebrated 49 years on the 27th, daughter married on the 29th and son and DIL married 19 years 31st. DIL birthday on11/1. Great to have had us all together!
