Got stuck on the highway with the kids for 4 hours yesterday for what should have been a 40 mintue trip... atleast I got some good deals on 5 pairs of shorts 3 pairs of pants and 2 pairs of shoes at sierra and rei. Walking into those 2 stores is dangerous for my wallet 🤣

1 or possibly 2 flipped over tractor trailers. 3 and a half hours to travel 1 exit. it was brutal with the kids as you can imagine 😳 and I found an apple I forgot to eta the day before but yeah we were all starving it was dinner time we came home and made eggs because it was the quickest thing we could think of.

How many calories do you eat in a day?

Situations like that is when I am glad to have fasting experience in my back pocket.

Nice loss. You are great at eating—more than most of us but… …not an even bigger amount that some people who work out like you do, use as a cop out!!! I’m not joking lol. No matter how much you burn, cop-outs exist unless you are an Olympic swimmer during the toughest season. You could burn 3,500 calories and still have cop-outs and not be as fit as you should be, in our modern food system lol!!! I used to know gym bros who would try to eat 5,000 calories a day lol…and fail once they hit 3,000-ish, so they didn’t gain weight other than muscle, but, if they actually did eat 5,000, yikes. I bet there are some people out there doing what those dudes said they would do, working out like crazy, but not Olympic-levels and getting chubby even with the insane amount of calories they burn already, drinking gallons of milk and eating whole large pizzas in addition to three big meals before those large pizzas. 😂😂😂But you eat healthy, thank goodness.

jswall1227 right now I'm trying to lose the last 2lbs of vanity weight lol I'm eating about 1800 to 2000 calories a day I have 3 weeks maximum left to acheive my goal before I bump my calories back up to an average of 2800 a day. I'll gain another 3 lbs back right off the bat because the only macro I cut calories from is carbs. I'm hoping to end up around 163 lbs. I am very active though

StomachMonkeys haha I can't fast except for sleeping 🤣

LaineAndTheDog98 thanks took 2 days to get back to pre Easter weight as the water flushed its way out. 5000 calories yikes. I have done the bulking thing twice now its very effective at muscle building but I'm nowhere near those calorie numbers and although I did include some more Indulgent items in my diet during those times I still ate fairly well almost all home cooked meals had some desserts though before my workouts to help fuel them a bit better.

Yes…I lose weight *by accident* a lot, and I don’t want to anymore (higher base metabolism = everyone’s dream until you get to your late 20s and realize that means feeling shitty/poor fitness). I am 27, not 20. I’m more worried about feeling good than eating more. 😂So I will increase exercise and manage stress to avoid that.

I don’t fast regularly, but it is a good tool for me to “reset” when things get loose, or I just need to recalibrate my flavour palette. Sometimes the mental challenge is a good thing for me too. That is how I use fasting, personally.

LaineAndTheDog98 agreed feeling good should be the goal !

stomachmonkeys nice I'm a big snacker I spend a ton of them driving around and I'm always snacking on something even if its just rice cakes or my driving carrots 🤣 BTW REP just released a new adjustable dumbell collaboration with pepin. they look really good I definitely would have gotten them over thw nuobells if they were out and you can get them all the way up to 125lbs

don't expect them to be a bargain lol but they are Inline price wise with all the other heavy adjustables. rep always does black Friday discounts based on how much you spend on top of specials on sale. gotta sign up for their emails

Nothing is a bargain anymore…those days are long gone! 😝 My wife’s Brother’s new truck was in the neighbourhood of $160k for a fully loaded Diesel Denali. I’m pretty sure that’s what I paid for my first house 🤑💸

We have had it SO much better than Billions of our neighbors on this planet, for mostof us anyway. I've been fairly comfortable, been barely making it, and learned some valuable lessons along the way about using what was available to the best advantage. When I get out of joint a little with prices and inconvenience, I remember all the people who can't even get a clean drink or bathe in clean and safe water. I have a bed and enough blankets to keep warm, and so far no bombs are dropping in the darkness.

Sometimes I do have something in the refrig that I just can't eat any more of. However, I never just throw out that food. We have three family dogs now and the oldest one waaay prefers my food to his food. Staying aware of what dogs should not be given, I supplement his kibble with my can't eat another bite dishes. His kibble lasts longer. The next oldest dog has a terribly sensitive digestive tract so he may have only a tiny smidge of the 'special' food but as long as he gets a teaspoon full--or less--he's happy. Puppy gets none of my food. Ever.

Just saw Coop has a video on those new rep dumbbells. https://youtu.be/JK8bO34Bp_s?si=dlOAZnphNvNt8RRt For me here in Canada, the price on these ranges from around $1100 for the 85 lb set up to over $1600 for the 125 lb set 🤑 Now if I can convince my daughter to take a few months off from gymnastics, I might be able to afford a set 😝
