If you have 1600 kcals target a day... Does that mean I have to fullfill that 1600 or I should target to eat less than that. My exercise usually is walk/run, workout on abs/legs, swimming for 1hr. Any thoughts please? I am not losing weight. :(

But I can eat less than that right?

Yes you can eat less than that When the scales aren’t moving for me I cut down on the exercise for a day or so as the muscle we gaining also slows down the weight loss on the scale Getting enough sleep also helps a lot with shifting those numbers

hi, I recommend you search up calorie calculator and it let's you enter your current weight, target weight etc. and gives you your maintenance calorie and calorie deficit numbers. I usually just follow that and ignore that 1600 calories.

perhaps break down ur portions over the course of a day so as to manipulate your metabolism. Best to eat around the amount recommended after you enter ur profile, your exercise will just be deducted off leaving you at a deficit which is healthier and more sustainable as you'll need energy frm you fuel(food) to exercise, digest, work etc..

Different calorie calculators tend to report different numbers. Some say that my maintenance calorie is 1,850 but if I eat that, I tend to lose weigh. FatSecret says it should be 2,400 kcal, which is about right for me, but I mostly eat protein; and avoid saturated fat. The daily limit is a guide. Of course you can eat less as long as you are not feeling hungry, and are getting enough nutrition and a balanced diet. Different people have different metabolism. I know others who eat far fewer calories than I do but still gain weight fast. You could try lowering your daily calories but try doing it slowly. You would be better off over time. If you lose it quick, you're likely going to gain it back. You didn't mention how much exercise you do. Try 3 to 4 times a week. Walk, run, swim are aerobic exercises, which should help you lose weight, but gaining muscles would also help because muscles burn more calories than fat. You do that by doing resistance exercise (i.e. weight-training). Fitness and health need a three-pronged approach: diet, exercise, and sleep. Make sure you get enough sleep as well; and try to avoid stress. Good luck.

you should always vary your calories amount. if target is 1600, then some days could be 1750, others 1400, some 1600 etc. otherwise your body will train to receive 160 every day and when it's different, body will struggle

try magnesium tablets for your sleep problem, try heavy lifting it will make you burn fat quicker and build lean muscle, try varying how much calories you consume daily :)
