Directions
- Mix flour, sugar, spices, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
- Cut 100g butter into small pieces and rub into flour mixture with hands until crumbly.
- Mix in the currants.
- Add the egg and mix until you have a soft dough.
- Roll out dough onto a floured surface to the thickness of a little finger. Cut out rounds.
- Melt the remaining butter in a pan on medium heat. Cook for 3 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
